"Murphy" the Hero Honoured
It was the distinct pleasure of the Animal Rescue League to attend a ceremony to honour “Murphy”, a lovely Labrador Mix who saved his Mom and Dad, Terri & Shawn O’Neill from a fire in Rothesay last month. The ceremony was held at the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department’s Fire Station 1. Murphy received an accommodation and a beautiful scarf which was presented to her by our Executive Director, Janet Foster. The O'Neills adopted Murphy from the shelter when she was just a pup and over the years they have cared for her, loved her and on the night of February 23rd that love was returned big time when she saved their lives.

Raffle for Quilt
Huge animal tail wags and sloppy kisses go out to Marion and Sandra (and their crew) who were instrumental in selling tickets on a handmade quilt. Big thanks to Town & Country Quilts (Tina/Geri) and their Patrons for all their help. These ladies traveled near and far to sell tickets over the past few months. They raised close to their goal of $1500.00 with all proceeds going to the animals at the shelter. The draw was done on February 16th and congratulations to Donna Hetherington who was the lucky winner of the quilt.
